This Conceptual Fine Art Nude class is for two types of photographers:
First, it is for the photographer who is passionate about art nude photography and would like to emphasize the artistry in their work, secondly for those looking to be inspired and explore the possibilities of creative techniques that can be achieved in an intermediate-to-advanced experience level.
The nude form is your canvas to tell a story, to build a character, and to sculpt a striking composition. With photography, creating a stunning piece of nude art is a confluence of light, posing, and concept, with concept leading the way.
If you create a nude photograph and the first thing that you notice in the nudity, you are probably missing the mark. You can begin with an idea more than just a nude form and instead develop a concept that sets you up for enchanting results.
In this class I have carefully crafted 14 different conceptual fine art nude photographs to touch upon a wide range of learning opportunities. For each setup we begin by exploring the development of the concept and/or costuming for the imagery. Next, we will explore the studio lighting setup including the gear used, positioning, and purpose of each piece of equipment. Then, we will pose our nude subject, coaching them to achieve a desired character or visually appealing pose. Lastly, we will take a look at a few key photoshop techniques required to complete the piece of art.

CanadaAs the title suggests, I highly recommend this tutorial. Each of the concepts detailed are not only interesting but accessible requiring only access to lighting and gels. A studio would help but isn't necessary. The step by step break down for each set piece is concise and the explanations not only instruct what to do but also why. As a presenter, Lindsay is clear, articulate, and highly knowledgeable. The video itself is generally static but well lit and the audio is consistently clear. A significant feature also included is the pdf guide illustrating each set piece with equipment guides, and story boards that one can download.
United StatesThoroughly enjoyed this. Lindsay in my opinion is one of the better educators in her field out there today. I have learned so much for her Creative Live, YouTube and videos purchased on her own site such as this one. This course provides a ton of know how and inspiration. Single nit pik is not in content but rather a technical one in regard to the ui for the set of videos. Something like Creative Lives UI would improve the experience. More specifically, keeping track of where one is in watching the videos so after taking a break, having to log in, or logging in to watch on another device you don't have to find your place manually. Other than that I love all of the courses I've purchased on Lindsay's site.
