With more than 12 hours of content, I begin with the essential foundations of location lighting and then build through many real-world case studies. You’ll learn how these tools and techniques can be used for headshots, group portraits, personal branding, fashion editorials and more. 

In this episode of Learn Plus we dive into set design with special guests Jada & David Parrish who’ve crafted their careers on building immersive environments. Jada & David bring us a unique set that mimics a stylish subway car interior, showing us how they light and use it for different looks.

Next, I’ll showcase my own personal methods and creative interpretation for set design, which include constructing a pool from scratch, sourcing unconventional materials through dumpster diving, and incorporating elements of glamour and sophistication.

As photographers we can study famous pieces, influential artists, or key visual elements of an art movement to spark our own creativity. I love incorporating elements from artwork into my own photos — whether it be a color scheme, style or just as an homage!
